Center for frequently asked questions.
Q: What’s the difference between car detailing and washing?
A: Car detailing is typically a more involved process, that usually involves deep cleaning every part of a vehicle and applying protection like wax or ceramic to a car. Car washing may only include cleaning the exterior, and doing a more surface-level job.
Q: How long does detailing usually take?
A: There are hundreds of possible variables that can affect completion time. For a full detail, I may take 6 hours for a very soiled car, or 4-5 for a cleaner one. Extra work such as waxing, scratch removal or headlight restoration extends the job time.
Q: What is the difference between wax and ceramic coating?
A: Wax protection falls under many products, some soaps, or drying aids include protection, or it could be a conventional paste wax. Waxing is usually the cheaper option. Ceramic coatings are typically the most expensive protection for a vehicle. Ceramic repels water and dirt better and lasts longer than other forms of protection.
Q: Do you only detail cars?
A: Nope! I’ve cleaned a 30′ boat the owner was selling, and have also detailed golf carts and UTV’s. I’ll detail any vehicle you pay me to clean!
Q: Do you come to my house?
A: Yes, Kings Detailing offers mobile service for free within 15 miles. After the 15 mile radius is exceeded, $1/mile fee is applied to the total detail price. Drop-off is available if you live nearby in Mims. Drop-offs may receive a convenience discount.
Q: How much experience do you have?
A: I have about 4 years of experience under my belt now. Over the years I’ve handled many unique situations and met unique needs my customers have had. I do consider myself well knowledged, but there’s always new things to learn!
Q: What towns do you detail in?
A: I serve Mims, Port St. John, Titusville, Cocoa, Merritt Island, Oak Hill, Edgewater and New Smyrna Beach.
